About Marilyn

As an experienced tutor and teacher assistant, I've worked with children of all ages in homes, daycares, and volunteer organizations. As the oldest of six siblings, I've been their personal tutor, helping with subjects like math, science, reading, and writing. I've also volunteered at a refugee center, tutoring kids in English, math, science, Spanish, and more. My expertise includes mathematics, computer science, and biological sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics). I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts at DePaul University, with plans to earn a Master's in Education to teach biology. I have experience working with children with ASD, ADD, ADHD, and other learning disabilities, and I tailor my teaching methods to meet each child's unique needs. I'm passionate about inspiring a love for learning and helping students thrive academically while building confidence in their abilities.
