About Judith

My professional experience comes from working 9 years in a medical office where the practice consisted primarily of seniors. I dealt with very delicate and private areas of anyone's life; health and insurance/finance. In doing so, I was able to communicate with both the senior and family members about all aspects of their account. Kindness, patience and understanding are just a few of the qualities necessary to maintain a healthy working relationship. I was able to deliver those loving qualities and many more. Personally, I have been around seniors since childhood. My own mother was a caregiver and I was able to enjoy the company and friendship of a woman she took care of for several years. When this woman was able, she would play cards with me or we would talk and watch television together. I also befriended a senior neighbor when I was only 5 and would visit her regularly for cookies and milk and a game of cards or shuffleboard. It was she that I "ran away" to when I got in trouble one time. Our friendship continued for many years. These two women were instrumental in my life and I remember those times as if they were yesterday. Most recently, I befriended the mother of my landlord who was nearing the end of her life. We sat for many hours drinking tea and talking. She became an incredible friend to me. Her daughter has thanked me many times for the joy I brought to her mother. Seniors have so much wisdom to share, for anyone willing to hear it. They deserve to be treated with love and respect. Their opinions and feelings matter.
