About Kari

I'd describe my personality as friendly, caring and positive. I like caring for seniors because they are interesting and knowledgeable and share their wisdom. I had amazing grandparents and loved hearing their stories and learning from them. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help others and provide connection. I started caring for seniors as a child when I spent time with my grandparents. In 2017 I worked as a companion to an elderly man named John who was having health issues. His daughter moved him to her home and eventually had to go back to work. I would sit and talk with him, prepare meals, help him to the bathroom and make sure he took his medications. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my daughter, I knit, read and bake sourdough bread. One thing you should know about me is I am a responsible adult, have a level head, am good in emergencies and can get anyone to talk and laugh. My skills include preparing meals, shopping, laundry, driving to appointments.
