I first realized that care giving was my calling when I went to visit my grandmother and aunt who, at the time, lived 967 miles away. Over the phone, things seemed well. But, when I arrived, I found things were not what they seemed. Before I knew it, I was making medical appointments, transporting, bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, med reminding, shopping, and running errands. Wow, there was so much to be done to make their home life safe and comfortable-all without dis-empowering them. I needed to listen carefully so I could properly assess how I could help them to remain in their home safely. I had found my niche and wanted to remain in it. For the last 5 years, I've continued to develop my skills and my passion. In the process of learning to be a great caregiver, I realized how much I love being there for the family as well. I want to understand the family's needs and eliminate the worries associated with trusting their love ones with others. How can I help you?
