When I think about my journey as a caregiver, I realize that my entire life has been a preparation for this role. From my experiences as a parent to a child with autism to my professional work with seniors, I have honed qualities that make me a reliable, compassionate, and attentive caregiver. Every step of the way has been shaped by the values of patience, understanding, and empathy. My work is more than just a job-it's a calling, driven by my desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. My son, who has autism was the start of my journey. This role taught me lessons that no classroom or training could provide. Raising a child with unique needs requires immense patience, creativity, and adaptability. I quickly learned how to tailor my approach to meet his individual needs, ensuring that he felt loved, understood, and supported every step of the way.
