About Bridget

I always have had the utmost respect and love for our elders. In my late teens and early twenties I started to work for my nana on a regular basis, helping her and my grandpa with various jobs ranging from organizing and to gardening and everything in between. During that time I was working with kids and teens with special needs. I did 40 hours of training learning how to assist people with their ADLs, just as a CNA would do via Supportive Homecare Options. Then my nana turned 92 years old and was struck with dementia. She quickly became less and less independent and after a series of falls she was restricted to a wheel chair and moved into a memory facility. There I became her part time companion for months. I helped her with maintaining her space, going to the bathroom, eating, getting dressed, going places, keeping her entertained, yoga, etc. More recently I've been helping people in their 70s with cleaning, heavy house projects, and organizing.
