About Amiete

Hello! My name is Amiete, but everyone calls me Mimi. The last 9 years i've worked in education, and I'm excited to offer tutoring and life skills support for your kiddo. I hold a BA in Sociology from Cal State Los Angeles and a MA in School Counseling from Concordia University Irvine. Throughout my career, I've worked as an in-home and in-school behavioral therapist, helping children both on the spectrum and in general education settings thrive. I'm currently working toward becoming a BCBA as I continue to expand my skills and knowledge. As a substitute teacher for Hawthorne Unified School District, I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, and I'm passionate about creating a positive, supportive space where kids can learn, grow, and feel confident in their abilities.
