You will bake cookies, go on outings, play Uno (warning - she's very competitive!) .... enjoy each other's company. She is wheelchair dependent and needs help with personal care. You don't need any experience with special needs to do this job, but if you plan to go into a relevant helping profession, it would be a very enjoyable way to get valuable experience. At this time we are only need a sub to replace her present caretaker for one week, from March 7 - March 13. But Sundays after that are possible on a permanent basis. I'm a part-time teacher at the school across the street so my schedule will look different from day to day. My baby will be 4 months old when I need care. His ideal day would involve eating around 9, playtime, nap 10-11:30, eat 11:30/12, stroller walk, nap and then I will usually be home. He likes his swing, his bouncer, and his tummy time mat. Ideally our sitter would not have our baby laying on his back all day.. We are working with physical therapy because he has torticollis and are trying to avoid the flat spot on his head getting worse. Preferred experience and knowledge on baby sleep needs and safe sleep, paced bottle feeding, introducing solids, infant development and age-appropriate play, and ability to use technology/apps when needed.
