Youth ages 12-14 are invited to come and learn about urban farming, sustainable building, land stewardship, water conservation, and farm to table dining at our beautiful location at Hawk Creek Farm. By supporting the completion of special projects and daily farm care, youth gain direct experience acting as land stewards. Daily activities include farm care, composting, animal care, teacher guided exploration on a topic of their choosing, and the creation of special projects that help the farm! Every Sunday, our studio will open its doors to young children and their caregivers for a relaxed multiple hands on experience designed for open- ended exploration and creativity. During Open studio, there are no structured lessons or teacher-led activities. Instead, children are free to explore a variety of art materials at their own pace and in their own unique way. From glow painting to exploring various materials like shaving cream, ooey gooey slime, this open play is designed to engage all of your child's senses, promote cognitive development, fine motor skills, and sensory processing as your child explores different textures, colors, and materials. Our studio is transformed into a wonderland of colors, textures, and possibilities, with art stations set up to inspire young imaginations. From handmade play dough to colorful sensory bins and open-ended art stations, this is a space for children to follow their curiosity, experiment with materials, and engage in hands-on discovery. Farm Camp is run from our 1-acre school farm in the Mission Terrace neighborhood. We provide an opportunity for children to connect with nature while directly participating in the daily rhythms of farm life. Our day camp is designed to inspire a connection with and love of the natural world, and also a chance to get hands dirty in fun and educational ways. Activities include animal care for our chickens, weeding, watering, mulching, harvesting, compost care, crafts and free play. Children should bring snacks and lunch and come prepared to get dirty!

At this camp, every child becomes a scientist! From bubbling volcano eruptions to dazzling magic potions and mind-blowing experiments, get ready for a hands-on adventure packed with excitement, creativity, and discovery! Requirements : - 4-8 years old ( NO EXCEPTIONS) - Children must be ready to follow safety guidelines and engage in their projects for 30 minutes or more. - Children must be fully potty-trained and capable of handling their bathroom needs independently. - Any medical conditions (such as allergies or diabetes) and/or behavioral needs (neurodiversity, trauma) your child may have must be informed during the sign-up process. This information will help us make any necessary preparations and provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for everyone. Please note that all information shared is kept confidential. Create a giant collaborative storybook, bringing characters and adventures to life through art. Each day, campers will explore a new chapter filled with painting, drawing and more. Each week concludes with a special Art Show, where the children proudly showcase their incredible creations! - Drop off starts at 9:00am. - Pick up is 2:45pm to 3:00pm. - Aftercare hours available 3pm-5pm - Our aftercare can be purchased as a series package, we will not be offering aftercare on FRIDAYS.
