Youth ages 12-14 are invited to come and learn about urban farming, sustainable building, land stewardship, water conservation, and farm to table dining at our beautiful location at Hawk Creek Farm. By supporting the completion of special projects and daily farm care, youth gain direct experience acting as land stewards. Daily activities include farm care, composting, animal care, teacher guided exploration on a topic of their choosing, and the creation of special projects that help the farm! Get ready to blast off into space! In this daylong camp, we will dive into pretend play that explores the magic of outer space. Come along as we adventure to the Solar System of Make-Believe Planets... this is a wonderful camp for kiddos who feel a connection to the stars and like to imagine worlds beyond our own! Drop off is from 9am - 9:30 and pick up is anytime between 3:00 - 3:30pm. Refund Policy: Please note that we have a no refund policy. We are thrilled to offer nurturing and nourishing culinary art and exploration programs to the Little School Chefs! This time we will bring the adventure to you! Cook, color, craft and create with our 'Colors of the Rainbow' enrichment program right from the comfort of The Little School Campus! Students will join us when their school day finishes for a seamless transition into Culinary Artistas explorations! Join us on the first Wednesday of every month from October-May for a special day of cooking, playing, creating, and tasting! We will explore the power of our two hands with delicious, colorful recipes, inspired by the best seasonal produce, sparking children's curiosity. Kid-chefs will get to craft their own hearty, homemade after school snacks, explore STEAM activity centers, spend time outdoors, create fun food-inspired art projects and much more! Curiosity Club (grades TK-2) and Curiosity Creators (grades 3-5) are STEMful after school STEAM programs. Both programs engage student in science, technology, engineering, art and math concepts. We provide pick up at near by schools, light snack and homework support. If your child is from TECA, Dolores Huerta and Alvarado, STEMful staff will do pick at the school. If your child does not attend one of these schools, then caregiver will need to drop-off.

Microscopic life exists almost everywhere, even where it seems impossible for any life form to exist. Some of them are harmless, but are beneficial to humans and the environment. Other microbes can induce illnesses. Our young microbiologists will spend the week learning about these tiny life forms with use of microscopes and hand-on activities and experiments.

Music and art go hand and hand! In this class, our most senior teacher Natalie will explore music with her students, teaching them original JAMaROO Kids songs! Then she’ll introduce them to arts and crafts working together throughout the session to create musical instruments from recycled items and beautiful fun visual aids to go with the songs they learn. In this class, children will work on developing and Strengthening the following: Fine Motor Skills, Speech and Language skills, Cognitive Development, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Colors, Numbers, Shapes, Sensory Exploration, Patience, Impulse Control, Ensemble Singing, Matching Temp, Rhythm and Pitch 15 MINUTE EXPLORATION TIMES: We are eager to build community together as we open our JAMaROO Kids Club! We invite you to arrive up to 15 minutes before your class, and stay up to 15 minutes after your class ends, to explore our space with your littles!
