This 8 class session will begin with hand-building techniques to provide better understanding of the ceramic medium before working on the pottery wheel. New Teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge before diving into more independent study. With our small class sizes, students have maximum individual attention within a classroom setting. Students will improve technical ability, problem-solving skills, and compositional understanding, as well as learn how to develop their own original projects with the guidance of their teachers. Students can choose the mediums they wish to explore and further develop a richer understanding.
