Hello Beginners Edge Sports Training or BEST SPORTS Parents, This is the Office of Beginners Edge Sports Training. We will be starting your players sports class session soon. Many questions come up before a session so we figured we would write this and send it out to assist everyone. I would keep this somewhere safe so you can refer to it. What equipment do I bring? a) For Soccer - Bring a soccer ball. • Under 3 Size 1 • 3 Years - 5 years Size 2 • 5 Years- 8 years Size 3 • 8+ Size 4 or larger b) For Baseball – Bring a Hitting T, Bat and a few whiffle/tennis balls. No hard balls please. • What Type of Hitting T? Anything you want to afford. They all break. Kids destroy things – it is in their nature, you just have to decide how much do you want to spend to replace it. See Amazon for MANY price choices. Yes, Little Tykes is fine. c) For Basketball – Bring a Basketball • What Type of Basketball? Anything but not a mini! You know the ones the size of a slightly larger Softball. Nothing Smaller than 7”. A Junior Basketball 25.5” is great for 5+. Then as your kids get older look to move to 27.5+ I am part of a Multi-Sport Class. What Sport is this week? For Multi-Sport we always start with Soccer. Please see your online schedules for dates and sports on our website. These are always on our website and updated often. Can it be made up or refunded? REGISTERED for a BEST Class THROUGH A CITY Parks and Recreation?: • Please see your specific City Policies. Most City Parks and Rec programs do not allow make up classes due to Insurance and Liability issues. Beginners Edge Sports Training is a Contract Program and follows and abides by all City Parks and Rec rules that were agreed to upon your registration. In a nutshell, the rule typically is, if you miss it, you miss it, but always check with your Park and Rec Center or Registration form for a more “official” answer. REGISTERED THROUGH B.E.S.T. DIRECTLY: • We do schedule make up classes based on availability. • We do carry over make-up classes to future sessions you are registered in. • Missed classes have NO $ Value and are not creditable. • You can schedule a make up class AFTER the 1st week of the Session. What if I want to switch classes (for any reason)? • Feel free to give us a call and we can assist with that . • In a BEST CITY program? During Crafternoons, the studio offers a stimulating, imaginative and engaging social space where children will work together through language, play, and, of course, art, at their individual comfort level. Our attentive staff is aware of each child’s needs and interests so that they can encourage self-expression, confidence, and self-awareness, Crafternoon projects promote development on both a verbal and nonverbal level through group dialogue, story time, and narrative play, as well as sensory and multimedia art projects. So, feel free to hang around, or run some errands, meet a friend, or just get some much needed “me” time, while your child builds relationships in a fun and healthy learning environment. Bring your littles to their first sports class and run, jump, play, laugh, throw, kick, toss, spin, dunk, roll, slide, play, and bounce, with our toddler-sized, colorful sports equipment! Hand-eye coordination, eye-foot coordination, balance, building, throwing, kicking etc. are all part of our 30-minute Mom/Dad & Me class. We will introduce all kinds of balls to play with, obstacle courses to explore, towers to build, and we will end with parachute time and balloons! These classes are a special price and are held indoors in our clean and climate-controlled Scottsdale facility. Come and have a BALL with us! Space is Limited! All equipment provided. Join us for our Parents Nights Out - For kids bathroom independent to 15 years old! *Kids will be age split into groups*!! Drop your kids off @ B.E.S.T. from 5pm to 9pm, and go enjoy your night out! We will keep your kiddos engaged in exciting sports and games while enjoying a fun-filled and safe environment! Chicken Nugget Dinner included for all participants. Don’t forget to pack some money for the Candy Cart or the Vending machine! Always a huge kid favorite!! B.E.S.T. Sports Parent Night Out is a great place for your kids to grow while you enjoy the evening out. Kids ages 9+ will be having a great time in the Annex where they will get to enjoy Glow Sports, Nerf Wars, variety of sport activities, karaoke, esports, and so much more!! Kiddos Under 9 will be having a blast in the main Sports Facility enjoying our MPR, bounce houses, rock wall, and of course a ton of different sport activities throughout the night. Any way you split it they will have a blast! Please bring a water bottle with your child's name on it. Parents Night Out is NOT Refundable, Creditable, or Moveable.
