Welcome to Sharks Swim! Summer isn’t summer without water and swimming! And our swim camps provide the opportunity to build confidence and learn basic swim skills or improve swim skills, with time to enjoy the water, and have a fun camp experience! The day begins with morning check-in, activities, and snack, and then the group heads to Highlands Rec Center for organized swim lessons and supervised recreational swim! Lifeguards are on duty! Then we head back to the center for some serious camp fun, including snacks, exploring, quiet activities, outside playtime, organized games, arts and crafts, games, jump rope & more...a busy day with plenty of exercise and activity! Camp includes two healthy snacks per day and Campers will receive a Footsteps sun protective long sleeve swim shirt to wear.

Welcome to Footsteps Full Day Camp at Barrett! **Enrollment is included with a minimum of 3 days per week enrollment. If you are not enrolled full time, please add the drop in fee listed on the extras tab** Full Day Camp at Footsteps includes fun and educational activities. The typical day includes indoor and outdoor choices with arts & crafts, games, sports, wheels*, gardening, and activity clubs. Two healthy snacks are included each day, lunch is not provided. *Children are allowed to bring bikes, scooters, and other non-motorized wheels to ride during the day. Helmets and other safety gear must be worn, and children may only use the items they bring.

Welcome to Racquets & Swim New this summer we are expanding racquet sports to include pickle ball, badminton, and table tennis. Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont, and support from the USTA NorCal, will again offers the H.I.T.S. tennis program. This program combines the challenge and fun of playing tennis with the educational and character-building aspects of team sports in a cooperative team environment to foster sportsmanship, integrity, camaraderie, responsibility, positive self-esteem, and social skills. All participants receive an H.I.T.S. t-shirt, wristband, ball, certificate, players/parents manual and more!!!

Welcome to Camp Footsteps Adventurers Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont Parks and Recreation, will once again offer eight weeks of summer camp designed specifically for older children and youth entering fourth grade through middle school. Each day there is something new to do, learn and explore, camp is sure to be a fun adventure! Monday is “Welcome Day” where team building activities are explored. Tuesdays include a morning hike and recreational swim at local pools in the afternoon. Wednesdays are field trip days, with exciting field trips older children and youth love! Thursdays include hands-on STEAM projects in the morning with an afternoon trip to the Belmont Library and recreational swim. Wednesday Special Event: Juneteenth Celebration at Nesbit School featuring: o Juneteenth-inspired art projects o Lunch prepared by staff and families o Games and activities teaching Juneteenth history and Black history o An exhibit on Black inventors and their groundbreaking contributions Friday Special Event: Camp Footsteps Future Inventors Contest – Campers will showcase their innovative projects, celebrating creativity and ingenuity.

Week Nine – World of Water WOW Week! Dates: August 4–8, 2025 Splash into the final week of camp to celebrate the wonders of water! Dive into water-themed fun, explore the importance of water in our world through games, crafts, and exciting activities. Experience water play, create aquatic-themed crafts, design mini boats, learn about oceans, rivers, marine life, and water conservation, every day is packed with water-inspired fun. Wednesday Field Trip: Aqua Adventure Water Park, Fremont – Cool off and enjoy a day with water slides, lazy rivers, and splash zones at this thrilling water park! Friday Special Event: End-of-Summer Water Party – Celebrate the end of an amazing summer with a water-themed party! Featuring water balloon games, sprinklers, waterslides, and refreshing summer treats, it is the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable camp season.
