This week, we're diving into the vibrant world of color with an exciting project featuring children under umbrellas, using a mixed media collage of ink, watercolor, and pastels. As we create these fun images, we'll explore the workings of the color wheel, helping students master color theory and mixing while simultaneously refining their drawing skills. This engaging and educational approach not only allows students to understand primary, secondary, and complementary colors, but also encourages the development of practical art skills, blending creativity with technical learning in a fun and artistic way! Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year!

Inspired by nature and Earth Day, students will learn how to create a simple, colorful, pointillism project. They will learn the technique of applying small dots of pure color, and allowing the human eye to optically mix the paint. This weekly 2-hour class is a great option for kids looking to move ahead with their artistic talents. The students are given more independence and freedom to be creative with the projects. Projects often run for 3-4 weeks to give students the extra time to create a really impressive piece. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

Perfect class for children ages 7-9 years old. 90-min class Children will be exposed to a variety of mediums and work on building up new skills.

No school? No problem! Send them here to enjoy some fun! Full-day campers should bring a snack*, a lunch and a water bottle, and should dress for a mess!! *We are a peanut/treenut-free camp, so please do not send any items with peanuts or tree-nuts (ie almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts etc) in for snack or lunch. Also, please do not send in candy! Thank you! Half-day is 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (extended pre-care available). Full-day is 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (extended pre/after-care available). Doors for full-day will open at 8:50 am each day (Pre-care can be dropped off at 8:00 am) Please arrive by 9:15 am so we can begin our morning project with all campers by 9:30 am.
