Welcome to Sharks Swim! Summer isn’t summer without water and swimming! And our swim camps provide the opportunity to build confidence and learn basic swim skills or improve swim skills, with time to enjoy the water, and have a fun camp experience! The day begins with morning check-in, activities, and snack, and then the group heads to Highlands Rec Center for organized swim lessons and supervised recreational swim! Lifeguards are on duty! Then we head back to the center for some serious camp fun, including snacks, exploring, quiet activities, outside playtime, organized games, arts and crafts, games, jump rope & more...a busy day with plenty of exercise and activity! Camp includes two healthy snacks per day and Campers will receive a Footsteps sun protective long sleeve swim shirt to wear.

Parent's Night Out (PNO) is an opportunity for parents to enjoy dinner out, spend time with friends, take care of errands or chores, and even see a movie! Enjoy the evening while your children are having fun and cared for by Footsteps’ staff! The price listed is for Preschool Children, 2+, please select the additional fee under “extras” for infant & toddlers. PNO includes dinner, fun activities, and a movie. Children are welcome to bring Pajamas. Young children will have the option of going to bed. Electronics are allowed, but their use may be limited. Footsteps does not take responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur. PNO is subject to minimum enrollment requirements and may be cancelled if the minimum is not met.

Welcome to Racquets & Swim New this summer we are expanding racquet sports to include pickle ball, badminton, and table tennis. Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont, and support from the USTA NorCal, will again offers the H.I.T.S. tennis program. This program combines the challenge and fun of playing tennis with the educational and character-building aspects of team sports in a cooperative team environment to foster sportsmanship, integrity, camaraderie, responsibility, positive self-esteem, and social skills. All participants receive an H.I.T.S. t-shirt, wristband, ball, certificate, players/parents manual and more!!!

Each day there is something new to do, learn and explore, camp is sure to be a fun adventure! Monday is “Welcome Day” where team building activities are explored. Tuesdays include a morning hike and recreational swim at local pools in the afternoon. Wednesdays are field trip days, with exciting field trips older children and youth love! Thursdays include hands-on STEAM projects in the morning with an afternoon trip to the Belmont Library and recreational swim. Week Four – Stars, Stripes, and Summer Fun! Dates: June 30–July 3, 2025 (No camp on July 4th) Celebrate the 4th of July with crafts, classic games, and old-fashioned summer fun to celebrate America’s birthday! Campers will dive into red, white, and blue-themed activities, create handmade decorations, and enjoy outdoor games and relays inspired by traditional celebrations. Wednesday Field Trip: All-Day Camp Out at camp featuring tents, special snacks, lunch, and campfire stories. Thursday Special Event: Stars and Stripes Celebration – A parade, field games, water play, and more to kick off the holiday weekend.

Week Seven – Under the Sea Dates: July 21–25, 2025 Dive into an unforgettable underwater adventure as we explore the fascinating world of marine life through creative crafts, water play, and absorbing activities to spark curiosity about the ocean. Join us for a week of underwater exploration and fun and a greater appreciation for our oceans and marine life. Wednesday Field Trip: Marine Science Institute – Campers will enjoy a hands-on learning experience at the Marine Science Institute, exploring marine habitats and interacting with aquatic creatures. Friday Special Event: Tommy’s Pirate Adventure Puppet Show – The Puppet Art Theater Company will bring a swashbuckling ocean-themed puppet show to camp, filled with adventure, humor, and imagination.

Week Five – Farm to Table Adventure Dates: July 7–11, 2025 Take a delicious and educational journey into the world of fresh, locally grown food as campers explore where their food comes from and learn about the journey from farm to table! Through hands-on activities, campers will discover the importance of fresh, local produce and healthy eating through gardening projects, cooking activities, and lessons on sustainability and nutrition. Wednesday Field Trip: Berry Picking Adventure at Swanton Berry Farm and learn about sustainable farming and harvesting berries. Friday Special Event: Farm-to-Table Feast featuring dishes prepared by campers, a "Farmers Market" station, and tastings of fresh, healthy snacks. Families are welcome to join the fest!

Enrollment for Sharks Camp week 1 is currently on hold. We are working with Highlands Rec Center to confirm if swim lessons and/or free swim will be available. Week Nine – World of Water WOW Week! Dates: August 4–8, 2025 Splash into the final week of camp to celebrate the wonders of water! Dive into water-themed fun, explore the importance of water in our world through games, crafts, and exciting activities. Experience water play, create aquatic-themed crafts, design mini boats, learn about oceans, rivers, marine life, and water conservation, every day is packed with water-inspired fun. Wednesday Field Trip: Aqua Adventure Water Park, Fremont – Cool off and enjoy a day with water slides, lazy rivers, and splash zones at this thrilling water park! Friday Special Event: End-of-Summer Water Party – Celebrate the end of an amazing summer with a water-themed party! Featuring water balloon games, sprinklers, waterslides, and refreshing summer treats, it is the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable camp season.

Week Eight – Color Craze Dates: July 28–August 1, 2025 Camp is bursting with vibrant colors and creative fun where creativity and colors collide for an unforgettable, exciting experience with colorful crafts like tie-dye shirts, rainbow painting, sand art, color science to mix and create new hues, and outdoor games and activities inspired by the week’s colorful theme. Wednesday Field Trip: Children’s Creativity Museum, San Francisco – A colorful journey awaits as campers visit this hands-on museum, exploring exhibits filled with interactive art and creative projects that bring colors to life. Friday Special Event: Color Run Celebration – Campers will participate in a fun and energetic Color Run! Dressed in white shirts, they will race through vibrant color stations, leaving them covered in bright hues and big smiles.
