Kind, caring, considerate Carer, with a good sense of humor.

I looked after my in-laws for 4 years, my mother-in-law had a brain hemorrhage and my father in law had vascular dementia. In partnership with ACC I did all the rehabilitation with their chosen Physio. I did all the housekeeping, cooking, personal care, medication and errands and taking them to Dr. appointments.
I have worked with young people and adults with Autism for two years, applying similar care, but also learning as much as I could about Autism so I could best relate to my clients.
I have just returned from the UK as a Live in Carer for the last year. Depending on my clients condition who determine what was expected of me. I did the cooking for all my clients. With the majority of my clients I did their personal care, medication administration, emptying catheter bags and changing the bag at night. Preparing nutritious, balanced food, companionship, and taking them out.
I am a Health Promotion Co ordinator, Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, Nutritionalist. I am able to apply most of these skills in the day to day work of a Live in/out, Carer.
