| I am offering Maths Grinds for Leaving and Junior Certificate students as well as casual learners. 30 euro a lesson. I also operate out of Stilorgan. I achieved a first class honours in my Double Honours Bachelors in Maths and Music from Maynooth University. I am currently studying for my MA in Mathematics in UCD which I hope to complete in the next 2 years. I am doing this masters part time which makes me very flexible for tutoring availability. I have a strong interest in maths and take great pride in seeing a student gaining a proper understanding of a mathematical topic through my guidance For the duration of my time in college,I have been assisting the maths department with weekly Maple labs for 2nd and 3rd year Arts and Science students. I have also experience giving grinds locally for a couple of years.

| I have 3 years experience tutoring Junior Certificate students in Science and Mathematics as well as Leaving Cert students in Biology and Chemistry. As a tutor, I can testify to the intellectual potential universal to all students. This potential is often untapped and dormant but nevertheless present. With a structured plan, rigorous practice, and plenty of encouragement, I was able to direct my tutees to realize that their presumed weakness in a subject was exactly that – a presumption. Many of my students have come from a fail/low grade in their mock exams to a B/A grade in the final exam sitting. A recent Neuroscience graduate (Trinity College Dublin), I am looking to teach and help students to increase their understanding, performance, and academic achievement. Having studied neuroscience, I have considerable understanding of the neural processes and mechanisms underlying learning and memory. Given this scientific perspective, I have knowledge about effective strategies, techniques and habits that promote optimal learning and knowledge retention.
