Regards my approach for teaching number based subject, I feel it is always much better to fully understand the practical elements, no matter how long it takes or how quickly you pick it up, rather than learn off theory after theory, and then put these to practise with questions. I also believe a good understanding of the exam paper (timings, structure and choice questions) and exam questions types is vital, as at the end of the day the Leaving Cert often comes down to the exam that comes up on the day.
