Special Needs Care in Letterkenny

I am so Passionate about caring for people who have Special Needs, due to growing up with a uncle who is Intellectually Disabled. I am also passionate to become an I.D Nurse one day. My life watching him grow older and need the full time care he needs everyday, showed me this is what I want to spend my life time doing, it is not a job or a task is showing people, there are people here in the world that love them, and care for them, no matter what, or who they are, or no matter what is wrong even if it small or big, I want to become one of those people who care just because it what I have always longed to do.

| I recently did a special needs with intellectual disabilities course a few months ago , I did work experience in a local school with three boys who have autism and two of the boys had cf as well , I really like working with them and I was really rewarding to work with the boys. I also have a cousin who has autism as well and I learnt a lot by looking after him and I knew then that’s what I wanting to do after leaving school, so i did a childcare course a few years ago and I really wanted to do a special needs course for a while and one came up last year and I applied for it and got in to it , it was nine months and we had to do 20 weeks of work experience, I did mine in a secondary school In Milford working with a student anxiety and few other students to , I really enjoyed working with them , and it was really rewarding to working with them and I loved every minute of it , because it’s something I really wanted to do for a long time .

| Hi, my name is Jasmine. I am 22 years old. I am a very fun person. I love working with children. I have been babysitting since I was 16. I have been looking after 3 people with special needs for the last 3 years. My friend has cerebral palsy and my neighbour's children I look after has autism.
