I have just finished my second year at medical school and I am now looking to continue with tutoring as a part time role.
I have had experience this year tutoring two boys, in year six and seven, in Mathematics, French and Latin.
I find working with children really fun and rewarding, and I really enjoy seeing them making accomplishments and get excited when they finally understand a concept or feel like they can do a particular task.
Given my course, I do a lot of medical interviews which require you to talk to a range of people, who are strangers but in doing so, enabling them to trust and share with you. I think this has been really helpful in working with children as I find it easy to build a rapport with them, in order to create a more holistic learning environment so the child feels comfortable.
I am highly organised and in my last role, I had to create lessons tailoring my sessions to support and build upon what the young had been learning at school.
