| My name is Emily and I am a student speech and language therapist in the last year of my Master's degree. As part of this degree, I have attended placements which involved working with children, young people and adults with speech and language difficulties. I have also been working part-time with a child with autism. I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language with Film where I obtained a 2:1. My previous experience includes working in a SEN secondary school as a speech and language therapy assistant where I gave therapy sessions to children with a range of special educational needs. These included autism, Down's Syndrome, cerebral palsy and children with expressive and receptive language delays. I absolutely love what I do and I am looking to offer my skills and knowledge to someone who needs it.

| I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in child development and care. I also have school experience as a Teaching Assistant and have designed creative, educational activities for children’s holiday camps. This diverse background allows me to offer well-rounded support for children of all ages. My BA (Hons) in Performing Arts is a cornerstone of my approach to childcare. I use my creative background to encourage children's imaginative play, boost their confidence, and help them develop their creativity in a fun, engaging environment. Whether it's music, drama, or art, I love helping children explore their talents and express themselves freely.

| I'm an English Literature graduate with experience in providing mentoring and tuition on a voluntary basis. I'm currently studying Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools to prepare a career in schools. I believe strongly in education and educational equality. I have been trained in safeguarding and children's welfare. I can offer services in teaching literacy, reading and writing help, assistance in homework and building the confidence and resilience in children.
