I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. I am currently living in Edinburgh after finishing a MSc from the University of St. Andrews in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I am a Barton Certified tutor with extensive experience in language therapy programs and working with students with dyslexia. I have over four years of tutoring experience in advanced English, history, and test-taking.
Before I moved here for graduate school, I worked as an education mediation specialist in public schools in Maryland. I provided mediations and conflict resolution support to students, families, and school staff across Montgomery County while working for the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County. I am passionate about languages and language learning, and have studied and lived in Paraguay, Mexico, and Spain. I love working with students, and I use my tutoring and mediation experience to provide a positive, supportive experience for each student.
When I am not tutoring or working, I enjoy watching cheesy television, reading fiction, and talking about movies and art. I love to travel and laugh at bad jokes.
