Emma is fantastic and was a blessing to our family this summer. We had just moved from the US and we were trying to adjust to a new life in the UK, get our home set up and unpacked and learn a new city. In walked Emma who was calm and patient and kind. She brought age appropriate activities for my two girls (aged 5 and 2) to entertain them and keep them happy throughout the long summer. She helped us with adjustment/behavioural issues, she helped cook meals, she helped clean up after the kids (and helped them be involved as well). She was respectful and courteous and always pleasant to be around. My girls miss Emma now that she's back at University and we look forward to seeing her again. We feel so fortunate to have found Emma!"

Professional English as a Foreign Language Tutor / Neuro-Language Coach
| Are you looking to improve your English? Yes? Maybe because you have exams coming up. Perhaps for your work. Possibly for holidays or even communicating with your spouse’s family. Potentially to raise your level to achieve your dreams. As well as being English as a Foreign Language tutor for over 30 years, I further gained Neuro Language Coach certification in 2019, meaning I consider how the brain works so that you can learn to your full potential, which means, with your help, we set goals and I let you take the driving seat, so to speak, while I act as a GPS and I also act as an accountability partner who supports you towards achieving your language learning goals. I have worked with all ages from all walks of life and have been in the EFL business since the 80’s. For the last four years I’ve been teaching on Summer sessions of University Pre-Sessional Academic Courses to raise student English levels in order to advance into their Master Degree programmes. I’ve been an Assistant CELTA Trainer (ACT) and can also coach or tutor you around this if you are going down that route. Neuro Language Coach is a registered trade mark.

Helping young people to have the confidence to challenge themselves
| I am a university student studying English Literature and part of the reason why I am at university is because of my passion for learning. Being a student really benefits teaching others because I am in education continually learning new things. Helping children to enjoy their education is so important to me and a key reason why I want to be a teacher in later life. Listening is one of the most important qualities to have; I will listen to what my students find difficult and work to build up confidence from there. Primary to upper sixth eduction plays a crucial part in defining the way that young people think and I want to help young people have confidence to challenge themselves academically.
