I have been working as an English Language tutor for just shy of 3 years (2 years and 10 months), teaching children and adults in China everything from the basic alphabet to discussions on academia. I also worked for a popular Bradford tutoring service during my last year of university.
In my personal life, I am the family babysitter, I've been looking after siblings, cousins, and family friend's children since I was 14 years old. I'm also an 'unofficial' godparent to my friend's little girl.
I am TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified and have a current enhanced DBS (I am on the DBS update service, as required by schools and nurseries).
About me, I was a super quiet kid, spending my time occupied with literature and film, crafting and sewing, and visiting as many museums and art galleries as I possibly could (all these hobbies are still my favourites to this day). I chose to soldier on with my love of history and literature, attending college to study both and university to study archaeology. I was lucky enough to work in archaeology professionally, travelling the country, and digging up the past one trowel full at a time, but after a year of nomadic life, I returned to my roots of teaching and tutoring.
