| I have 3 years experience working with children and young adults with complex needs, autism and challenging behavior. The children and adults I support have developmental delays, epilepsy, speech and language delays and other complex needs. I have experience in teaching in a residential special educational needs school for 3 years. Within my role I not only teach but support young people to become independent and help increase their life skills in a way which makes sense to them. I hold a level 3 in education and training City and guilds. Outside of my work life I am married and have two teenage boys, one is 19 and a 17 year old who is autistic, our family also includes 2 dogs. I am free during the school holidays and weekends and occasional evenings.
