Today I would say my main experience with special needs started with my own son, however I started working as a support worker in 2016, and I fell in love with the job. Being able to give some help, comfort, support, understanding, love, and much more, to others that are limited physically and/or mentally, became a way of life for me. It's very rewarding and fulfilling, being able to provide even a little and knowing that it made a difference. I've supported individuals of all ages, and needs, throughout this 6 years in care. I have learned a lot, and I am still learning and looking to improve where needed, to be able to give what others need.
