I am a flexible, confident and patient individual with over three years of experience working in a special education setting as a Teaching assistant and/or a Learning disability support worker, promoting independence amongst service users. Further to this, I have in-depth knowledge of safeguarding all individuals, de-escalation techniques and ‘covering’ lessons for teachers at a moment notice. More than anything else, I am most experienced as a carer for my younger sister with Autism, I believe this has meant I have a natural understanding for other families/students in a similar situation to mine.
I am a 2nd year BA Education student training to become a SEN Teacher.
