| I will be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist from July 2025 and will be relocating to Dundee in June. I have a strong background in providing care for individuals with special needs, particularly children with autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. During my placements, I’ve worked in both community paediatric settings and hospital environments, providing therapy and support to children and adults with a range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. I’ve used evidence-based strategies, such as Makaton and visual aids, to enhance communication for individuals with diverse needs, ensuring they feel heard and understood. As a support worker for a child with ASD, I assisted with communication, daily activities, and occupational therapy sessions, implementing strategies to enhance social interaction and wellbeing.
