| I will be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist from July 2025 and will be relocating to Dundee in June. I have gained valuable experience in elderly care, including providing companionship and support to an elderly woman with dementia. In this role, I focused on enhancing her mental and emotional well-being through daily interactions, creating a supportive and comfortable environment. Additionally, during my hospital placements, I worked with adults with acquired communication disorders such as aphasia and dysarthria. I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, person-centred care, helping to improve the individuals' quality of life. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by elderly individuals and have strengthened my ability to combine therapy with compassionate support. I am passionate about using my skills to promote dignity, comfort, and independence in elderly care, ensuring that each individual receives the care they deserve.

I have worked in care homes for the past 5 years I was a bank carer I would get the residents up washed dressed and fed clean rooms I was also a personal carer for my mum that's what got me into the care side a liked being able to help others that can't do stuff for themselves.
