We offer day trips or a couple of hours if needed to give the young person a break and have some fun in the community. I have Level 3 NvQ in Health and Social Care and gained a lot of experience around tracheotomy care and other aspects of care associated with spinal cord injury.

| Hi! I’m a 20 year old female, who works as a Learning Support Assistant at a Special Educational needs school. I have 3 years experience working closely with children with ASD/ADHD primarily, this is what I’m most comfortable in, however I am not limited to. I use different techniques and skills in my every day life at work such as PECS, visuals, play therapy etc and have been doing so for a few years now. I have always had a drive and passion for children with SEN and I am told I am naturally caring and understanding in this field. I also have experience being a holiday club manager, I have a full DBS check which can be seen on request, however I do not have a driving licence, I am comfortable taking children to diffrent places in the community when the trust is built between me and the child if this is something you would be comfortable doing!

My name is Ropa, I have two children who have cognitive disabilities. I created Lightbeam after experiencing firsthand how difficult it is to find a specialist childcare for my children. I have nearly 10 years experience of caring for two children withadditional needs and 6 years experience of working on a professional capacity in Social care. I have experience working as a carer/ support worker aswell as working as a Social Worker for vulnerable Adults and children.
