Charismatic and young individual seeking to help people achieve the best they can
| I have worked with young adults with special needs for 4 years and it is the most rewarding job I have done. My adopted sister suffers from Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and Autism so special needs has always been close to my heart. For many years I have worked closely with her to battle through the troubles and problems that she has faced and helped her to overcome her fears so she can persevere and achieve the best that she possibly can. I have worked with various different students ranging from mild disabilities to quite severe. I have worked with challenging behaviour from severely autistic students to encouraging and helping students with learning difficulties get qualifications and even go out and find paid employment or work experience. Independence is key and I strive to ensure that every young person I work with becomes as independant as they possibly can, whether that be being able to make a meal or put a wash on, or even going out to do a food shop to catching public transport. Nothing is impossible.
