| I definitely can say I am a people’s person with a great sense of humour and lots of empathy and I am very likeable.. I have gained a NVQ 3 in working with children and young people. I have always been a natural with children since I was in secondary school helping my mum with my younger siblings. | My name is Elena, I have been working in the field of home care for 6 years, in addition to the basic care certificates, I also hold the following higher certificates: Level 3 autism spectrum condition, level 2 safe guardian children and adults, level 2 dysphagia, certificate of physiotherapy, and care of the trachostomy tube. The care provided by me is structured according to the client's needs and wishes to achieve well-being, I also complete tasks such as cleaning and preparing meals, as well as accompanying clients to various activities or appointments. | I am a kind and patient individual with over four years of experience as a special educational needs teacher. During this time, I have had the privilege of supporting children with a wide range of needs, including Autism, visual and hearing impairments, and other complex conditions. My experience includes both educational training and hands-on care, allowing me to tailor my approach to each child's unique requirements. Although I am no longer working in a special needs school, I remain passionate about continuing to work with children who require additional support, helping them thrive and achieve their potential.

I have always been passionate about working with children and have been working with them since I left school. I grew up in a big family and it was there that I learnt that I wanted to learn more about disability, having 2 uncles with learning difficulties. I am currently providing respite care for families with disabled children by providing day care for the child. Disabilities include autism, asperger's, epilepsy, ohtahara syndrome, health issues, development delay and cerebral palsy. I also have experience in PEG feeding, basic first aid and administering medication.

I have previously worked in a SLD school in Farnham which specialises in children and young adults with many physical disabilities. | I have a BSc in Psychology from the University of Hull, where my dissertation focused largely on autism. I have 2 years experience of working within a learning disabled residential care home as a Therapeutic Residential Care Worker and Team Leader. I consider myself fortunate to use my knowledge supporting children with diagnoses of; Global-Development-Delay, ASD, ADHD, DiGeorge Syndrome, Selective Mutism, PICA and Epilepsy. My current role involves looking after some of the most vulnerable children within our society and I strive to deliver the best care possible to each of them. I have received a wealth of training to support the young people I care for. I love helping children develop and ensuring that they reach their full potential by employing a PACE approach when I work. I work well in challenging situations and handle emergencies well. I use dynamic risk assessments to minimise the risk to children. In the event of an emergency I follow procedure to the letter from administering first aid, to contacting 111 or 999 where necessary. I enjoy physical activities like playing football, swimming, walking my dogs and cycling, as well as less strenuous things such as playing scrabble, gaming, puzzles or a crossword.

| I have been working with young children, teenagers and young adults with additional needs for the past 15yrs. I work with young people with autism spectrum conditions, both in a caring role and as a carer. I am also trained in ABA and have been an ABA Tutor for six years now. I have worked as a carer and tutor for children with severe epilepsy conditions and additional comorbidotors, including g.tube feeding. I am very happy to work on Physio, OT, SaLT programs as this is something I understand and am used to doing. Some of my loves are music, which I always try to include in my care (if appropriate), I'm happy with messy and water play and anything creative that can help my young people experience different sensations. I am also very happy taking young people out so they can experience the world and take part in activities and their interests. I have two cats of my own and I am happy to work with young people with pets and assistance animals. Overall, taking into account each individuals needs and wants, I love to try and provide the most holistic and all round complete approach to the care and support I provide. I currently work Monday, Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoon.
