I have been working with young children, teenagers and young adults with additional needs for the past 15yrs. I work with young people with autism spectrum conditions, both in a caring role and as a carer. I am also trained in ABA and have been an ABA Tutor for six years now.
I have worked as a carer and tutor for children with severe epilepsy conditions and additional comorbidotors, including g.tube feeding.
I am very happy to work on Physio, OT, SaLT programs as this is something I understand and am used to doing.
Some of my loves are music, which I always try to include in my care (if appropriate), I'm happy with messy and water play and anything creative that can help my young people experience different sensations. I am also very happy taking young people out so they can experience the world and take part in activities and their interests.
I have two cats of my own and I am happy to work with young people with pets and assistance animals.
Overall, taking into account each individuals needs and wants, I love to try and provide the most holistic and all round
complete approach to the care and support I provide.
I currently work Monday, Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoon.
