| I have grown up in a family of five. A loving family that I am very lucky to have. My sister Chloe is one of my biggest inspirations in life, she has Down Syndrome. She drives and motivates me to be a better person every day. Being a part of Chloe's world has been a huge part of my life and that's why children with special needs holds a close place to my heart. I believe it’s something they have and not who they are. I've volunteered and worked at many schools and camps. Taught dance classes and singing lessons to those who don't get the opportunity's and done a lot of nannying. I'm currently working at Cricket Green School here in London as a teaching assistant. A school for children with special needs. The school ranges from pre-school up to 6th form. I'm often moving around on a day to day basis in different classrooms getting to know all the kids and working with them one on one. I'm currently working with a little boy with server autism. He is 4 years old and the sweetest little thing. We have been together for about 2 months now and everyday I feel like we make progress and I get to know him better. I have the experience, the personality, the active lifestyle and the right attitude.

We're on Easter break for the next two weeks and I'd like to use my holiday time to help out a family whose parents are key workers or anyone who needs a nanny during this Covid-19 outbreak. After Easter break we will most likely still be working from home so I would still be able to provide care part or full time depending on the hours. I work for one other family at the moment but other than that I am practicing social isolation and traveling everywhere via bicycle. I have 15 years of experience working with children and babies ages newborn to 13 years. I have worked in schools, summer camps, daycares and homes. I have 4 years of experience working with children and teenagers with special needs including ASD, ADHD, ODD, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, etc. I would be happy to provide a CV and references. I have a recent DBS.

Working with special needs children is my chosen vocation.
| I am currently working at Lime Tree Primary School as a Temporary Assistant Teacher. My last position was Assistant Manager at a Hotel and I have come to realize that working with children with special needs is the best career for me. In this work, I can make strong contribution because I have a kind and empathetic manner and I genuinely care about the children. I am very patient when working with children. At 18, I was a Cabin Counsellor for autism youth in a summer program at Camp Northwood. Our cabin was awarded first place for a points scheme held at the end of the camp. We took care of the students from wake up to sleeping. I have the ability to relate well to children and adults. It has been very gratifying to be entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of children. I believe I relate well to children because I have an empathetic manner and am approachable. At the same time, I am able to set boundaries and provide needed structure. I sometimes find myself in the position of mediating problems between children and adults.

Experienced SEN support worker/student in Children's Nursing
| I have spent 2 years working as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school, providing 1:1 care to children with SEN. I have worked with children with Autism, ASD, GDD, FASD, Downs Syndrome and Visual Impairments. During my time in this job I worked closely with the families of the children and followed EHCP plans to ensure care and support was to the highest standard. I also completed training in safeguarding. Besides supporting children in the classroom, I provided emotional and social support in the playground and assisted at lunchtimes to ensure safe swallowing. I really enjoyed working with these children, and I enjoyed forming professional therapeutic relationships with them and watching them grow in confidence and independence. I also have 3 years worth of experience in providing Nanny care to children aged 3 - 7, roles included: picking them up/taking them to clubs, helping with homework, providing play opportunities, giving them meals and doing bath and bedtime/morning routines. In September I will be starting a postgraduate course in children's nursing.
