Pet Care in Kilmarnock West and Crosshouse

| I don’t have professional experience however i do have personal experience owning multiple dogs of my own and caring for family members dogs and cats. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments and breeds and I am not scared of big dogs at all. I recently spent a week pet sitting for an ill family member with lots of fish, a cat and a dog, i made sure the dog got all her correct medication at the correct times, the car was fed and let out whenever he pleased and the fish were fed the proper amount. I can offer many services such as walking, sitting (overnight too), feeding, coming to check on the animal throughout the day and can provide a little training but not at a professional level.

| I have been around animals my entire life. I have 3-4 years of experience volunteering at an animal shelter in Florida where I worked my way up to being responsible for feeding and exercising many dogs of different sizes and ages, some with different dietary requirements. I love being around dogs and cats alike. I have not long moved to Kilmarnock and am trying to make a little extra money. Recently my own dog passed away and I would very much like/enjoy being around pets again.

| With having pets of my own I have experience in the appropriate care and first aid of animals. I have had my dog for 2 years and my kitten for 5 months and take independent responsibility in their care for them. I have done dog walking jobs in the past at an hourly rate and dog sitting also. I worked as a manager of a large kennel in USA for over four years and recently I was employed as an assistant groomer for over four years here in the UK. I have worked with animals for over thirty years. I do ride and have looked after my own horse and various farm type animals. When I was a Kennel Manager, I was responsible for over thirty dogs, making sure they were exercised, fed properly according to their owners wishes, groomed before going home or if they were long term residents they were groomed on a regular basis. I also administered medication according to their needs. When we had senior animals or very young ones I usually took them home and they stayed with my own three. I was a registered nurse for many years and so although not trained in animal health I do understand medical problems and I have a good understanding of underlying problems and dealing with emergencies that might occur. I currently have three little rescued Yorkies and when they arrived they all had health problems but with lots of love and medication they are all healthy little guys. I have worked with all sizes. I do own my own campervan so can either be on site or nearby to care for your pet while you are on holiday.
