Pet Care in The Lochs

| Leia the spaniel has lived with me for over a year now and we are good friends. I take her out for walks, feed her and give her lots of cuddles. I see my other daughter’s dogs sometimes when I visit her but they too used to live with me too for over a year when it was the pandemic in 2020. I am used to being around friendly dogs and love chatting to owners of dogs when I’m out and about on walks myself. Dogs seem to trust me so think the owners then do too!

| My name is Amy, I’m 27 and i work in the social care field for a children’s charity. I’ve always had an affinity for animals and have been lucky enough to be surrounded by them throughout my life which is why I am now pursuing a career in the animal field. I’ve never went a day in my life without a canine companion by my side. I’m currently mammy to my 14 year old parrot and a Romanian rescue pup, Gracie. I am really keen to pursue a career in the animal care field and I am currently studying a dog training and care course with IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers). I also volunteer for Greyound Rescue Fife which includes walking and working with each dog as they come in to the kennels - it is an absolute privilege to work with the beautiful hounds and to see them off to their forever homes! I also have some volunteering experience as an adoption co-ordinator for a charity, rescuing dogs from overseas. I hope I have been able to give you a good picture of the experience I have as well as my eagerness to get out there and start doing what I’m passionate about! I look forward to meeting you, Amy
