My name is Amy, I’m 27 and i work in the social care field for a children’s charity. I’ve always had an affinity for animals and have been lucky enough to be surrounded by them throughout my life which is why I am now pursuing a career in the animal field. I’ve never went a day in my life without a canine companion by my side. I’m currently mammy to my 14 year old parrot and a Romanian rescue pup, Gracie. I am really keen to pursue a career in the animal care field and I am currently studying a dog training and care course with IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers). I also volunteer for Greyound Rescue Fife which includes walking and working with each dog as they come in to the kennels - it is an absolute privilege to work with the beautiful hounds and to see them off to their forever homes! I also have some volunteering experience as an adoption co-ordinator for a charity, rescuing dogs from overseas. I hope I have been able to give you a good picture of the experience I have as well as my eagerness to get out there and start doing what I’m passionate about! I look forward to meeting you, Amy
