| Hello, my name is Gemma and I run a professional and reliable dog walking and pet care service in the new forest and Southampton called The Animal Angel. I am canine first aid trained, insured and have a clear DBS police check. I have a lifetime of experience with a wide range of animals. I currently have 4 rescue dogs, a cat, 3 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, and a crazy ferret! I also have experience with horses (volunteered at a stables), terrapins, tortoises, rats, hamsters and even hermit crabs. Because I have had numerous animals I have extensive experience with medical issues, behavioural problems etc. Two of my current dogs require strict exercise regimes and daily medication. I have dealt with and rehabilitated dogs with spinal injuries, a brain tumour, incontinence and heart problems. I have a keen interest in canine psychology as after adopting 2 dogs from oversees with various behavioural problems and I have had to learn behavioural training very quickly, because if these experiences I am currently training to become a canine behaviourist and myotherapist. I can help out with dog walking, cat/small pet visits and also puppy visits if they require loo breaks, feeding or socialisation.

I am a bubbly and outgoing person who has a bit too much time on their hands. I use a lot of this time to go on long walks and thought a good idea would be dog walking. As I love going for long walks and love taking care of different animals I wanted to continue this as a part time job. I do not have a form of personal transport, so reasonably local requests only (I can still get public transport of course!) As well as this, I request that any overnight stays will be done at your own home where I can stay. This is to not make your pet stressed or uncomfortable with the change of environment as well as protect my cat from new, unknown animals. Any longer term pet sitting can be requested at an agreed fee and I can also shop for food, litter, etc, at a further fee plus full cost of bought items.
