Afterward, I traveled to Bulgaria to volunteer with Every Dog Matters, a non-profit rescuing stray dogs in Western Bulgaria. Working with an amazing team, I helped care for 140 dogs daily—feeding, walking, grooming, medical care, socialization, and shelter upkeep. We also cared for eight independent yet delightful cats. Additionally, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for a friend’s Ragdoll cat over two summers. This experience deepened my understanding of cats, and I’m now an aspiring cat owner.
