From aged 2 until 22 (I’m now 23), I grew up with cats that were undoubtedly part of our family. The youngest of our cats experienced megaoesophagus, which resulted in daily medication being administrated and monitoring whilst eating. In addition to the regularity of medication, my postgraduate degree has been exploring animal-human therapy work, which demonstrates the importance of our animals for us, as well as for the animals themselves. I am involved in TNR (trap, neuter and return) community groups, which ensures feral cats live happy and comfortable lives through being spayed and neutered. Lastly, and most importantly, I am a cat enthusiast and love every second of their company, regardless of their personality type. This is common knowledge among my friendship group, where I regularly pet-sit for their felines when they are away, as they realise they are doing me a favour, as much as I am doing one for them.
