Precious, beloved, adored, adorable. Your cat. Your family. I get it.
| Hi, I'm Mel and I'm 51 years old. I absolutely LOVE and adore cats. Any age or personality suits me as I have grown up with cats and totally understand them. I get them and love a good chat and cuddle with any cat I come across. I've worked in an office for 30 years so I'm reliable, honest, trustworthy and organised. My previous admin jobs include Kent Police for 15 years, NHS for 2 years, insurance and underwriting. I'd be honoured to look after, nurture and cherish your beloved furry family. Nothing more fabulous than a cat!

A cat enthusiast with heaps of adaptability and joy to be implemented to kitty care.
| From aged 2 until 22 (I’m now 23), I grew up with cats that were undoubtedly part of our family. The youngest of our cats experienced megaoesophagus, which resulted in daily medication being administrated and monitoring whilst eating. In addition to the regularity of medication, my postgraduate degree has been exploring animal-human therapy work, which demonstrates the importance of our animals for us, as well as for the animals themselves. I am involved in TNR (trap, neuter and return) community groups, which ensures feral cats live happy and comfortable lives through being spayed and neutered. Lastly, and most importantly, I am a cat enthusiast and love every second of their company, regardless of their personality type. This is common knowledge among my friendship group, where I regularly pet-sit for their felines when they are away, as they realise they are doing me a favour, as much as I am doing one for them.

What questions should I ask a cat sitter in an interview?

The best cat sitters in Ashford have a combination of experience and passion for cat care. Ask questions about the types of pets they have personally owned and how often they are currently cat sitting. Because cats behave differently than dogs, make sure to ask questions that are specific to cat behaviours and tendencies. It's also a good idea to give specific scenarios to the cat sitter you're speaking to so you can have a good idea of how they will treat your cat when they are in your home. Be sure to ask for references from other cat parents in Ashford that have worked with the sitter of your preference.
