I am passionate about senior living and choose to make elder care my career choice.
I am currently completing a 2 year contract (expires April 2024), where I facilitate a volunteer program where I train and match volunteers to companion with those living with advanced illness. The work I enjoy the most is spending time with the clients engaging in activities that are meaningful to them. As a newcomer to Scotland I would enjoy the opportunity to get out and enjoy seeing and learning about the area with my client.
I enjoy cooking and baking. I don't mind helping with some housework. I am comfortable with pets. I am a non-smoker. I have eldercare and hospice training and experience.
I believe people feel more comfortable at home. There are challenges to aging in place, and I am here to provide assistance to make daily living more comfortable. I have a strong belief in quality-of-life care.
By nature, I am a helper, kind and courteous.
