| I'm Lucy, an Ex Registered Mental Health Nurse with advanced knowledge of acute and chronic mental health issues, including Dementia conditions and their ongoing management. Recently I've managed a team of carers to support an elderly couple with complex health needs including an advanced dementia condition,long standing pain management and End Of Life Care support. Facilitating multidisciplinary support was a necessity in this role. I've worked across different specialisms-Homecare, Rehabilitation, Mental Health Nurse, Residential Care and working within Private and NHS Hospitals. Outpatient and Pre -assessment Dept experience with consultants has significantly furthered my knowledge of health concerns and how they can best be self managed and supported within the community. On a personal level, I function with a "can do", person centred approach with a natural enthusiasm to help others to better their circumstances. I also believe it's important to be kind and considerate towards people's choices and wishes and to work collaboratively.
