Elderly Care in Craven

| I currently work as a support worker with service users with learning disabilities in Preston, Lancashire. However, I am relocating to Beverley on 1st November to move nearer to family. I have experience of befriending with older adults and working with older adults in my social work career. I'm caring, offer a person centered approach and want the best for the service user!

| My name is Katie and I am 29, living in Hellifield. I am a previous Wedding Planner/Marketing Executive who took some time out to care for my Grandad who suffered with cancer and dementia. Following his passing, going back into my previous line of work seemed so uninspiring. Coincidentally COVID hit, so I decided to take a job working on a dementia unit. To care for our elderly with the dignity, respect and love they deserve was so rewarding and I have never looked back. I went from Carer to Head Carer for a domiciliary care company within a year and then I fell pregnant. Later, I was contacted by the family of a previous client and asked to work for them as a private personal assistant, caring for their wonderful Mother. I cared for her in her home until she passed peacefully. I would now like to provide the same service to another family. I will solely work for one client, ensuring my full time to adapt to change in health needs, family dynamics and to build a strong relationship with the client. To show them the care, dignity and respect they deserve to feel in their own home. My rate is higher than most as I believe this reflects my level of care provided and the dedication to my work.
