In my career I have supported and providing care for individuals who have dementia, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, and physical disabilities. In a supported living setting I have supported young people with behaviours that may be challenging, ADHD, self-harming ideation. Furthermore, I have experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary school, supporting pupils with special needs on a one to one basis as well as supporting small groups of lower ability.
I have experience in writing care plans, risk assessments for individuals living in a care setting.
I have also experience working within hospital setting as a trusted assessor. My role was to assess an individual's needs on behalf of the care provider in order speed up discharge and ensure that patients are discharged from the hospital in a timely and safe manner.
I have current up-to-date DBS. I have training for all aspects of needs such as, assessing needs, care planning, dementia care, first aid awareness, diabetes, person-centred care, safe administrations of medicines and safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
