| Have worked in school settings for years and also care homes years ago. I am married with 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren Have 1 dog. I am a very compassionate and caring lady .

| My name is Nikki, I'm 33 and live in Lisburn and have my own transport.I studied a counselling degree before I began my career in health care.I gained my experience in nursing homes where my role consisted of delivering person centred care, assisting with washing, dressing, whilst maintaining respect and dignity. I am now working for an agency in various hospitals as a band 2 nursing auxiliary. I work in different wards, including medical, surgical, mental health and paediatrics. I have gained a wide range of experience in my role such as the ability to conduct clinical observations, blood sugars, the importance of repositioning patients regularly, working with catheters etc. I absolutely love the the work I do and enjoy working with people of all ages disabilities and illnesses. I pride myself on being fully deticated to every task I do, punctuality, honesty and genuineness. I prefer to work night shifts although I am flexible with hours and will work with families to ensure their loved ones are comfortable and safe. | I was a registered nurse for 27 years. I have experience of working in several Northern Ireland hospitals as a band 5 staff nurse and band 6 deputy sister. My last post was as a band 7 Ward Manager in a rehabilitation ward for over 65's in Lurgan hospital from January 2007 to November 2017. Unfortunately due to a back injury I had to take ill health retirement when I was 45 and am no longer on the NMC register as a registered nurse. I have a specialist practice degree in the care of older people and I am passionate about providing individual person centered care. I believe that every person has the right to be treated with dignity and respect and have their needs assessed and tailored individually to them. I can provide personal care, dressing, toileting and continence care, skin care, dressings and wound care, assistance with eating and drinking, medication management, light household chores, meal preparation, companionship, shopping and mobility assistance.
