Elderly Care in Antrim

| I am currently a district nurse. I am interested in caring for individuals before or after I finish work for extra money as I don’t want to have to go into hospital wards to do agency for extra money due to the current covid 19 situation at present. I enjoy caring for people in their own homes and helping them with daily tasks which they are unable to tend to themselves. I enjoy having and building a meaningful and trusting relationship with everyone I care for. I will also wear PPE to protect everyone whilst caring for them.

| Hello, I’m from Australia an I live in Antrim with my Irish partner, I left my job with spinal life Australia to find work here in NI. I know how to bathe, hoist, slide sheets, feed, prep meals, dress wounds, massage of limbs, i worked as a support work also with southern cross in Australia also, I love this kind of work.

| I worked in community care for 7 months and currently work in care/nursing homes.

| I have 4 Years of Care Experience, I previously worked in Community Care for 3 years. I currently work with Learning Disabilities and have loved every second of it. I am completely trained in Manual Handling, I have training for PEG feeding and have had training in Mental Health. I enjoy learning and gaining new skills. I have worked with Dementia/Alzheimer’s and a variety of different illnesses. I have had plenty experience in end of life care.

| I have many years experience looking after family members .I have up full time work to care for my elderly mum who was housebound. I find it a privilege to look at the elderly.. I have also cared for a friend's aunt by taking her shopping and offering her companionship.
