There is no limit to the type of Home Care we can deliver – it could be a daily 30 minute call to assist with general domestic needs or it could be a more complex situation where 24 hour live-in care is required. | I am qualified nurse of 23 years, working in mental health. I have worked as a domicillary carer and in hospital wards in the pasts. Also have experience of caring for my elderly parents, one of whom had a stroke, and the other has dentist and several other health conditions which require support. I’m looking for ad hoc sitting-type work, for a few hours at a time, perhaps to provide respite or some extra support.

| I don’t have much experience but i know how respectful, kind and patient you have to be to do this job. In addition i got to say that i admire elderly people.

| I have been working in a nursing home for 8 years. I worked in another nursing home for a year before that and I’ve done two work experiences in 2 different care homes before this. I am compassionate, patient and I always put others before myself. I think when people need support it’s hard for them to accept that sometimes, it’s hard for you to have to rely on other people. Keeping independence is very important. As much or as little support anyone needs I will do that to my best ability.
