| I would say I am a kind loving individual who will go above and beyond for anyone, I have a few years of experience in care I used to help care for my grandma who unfortunately had a stroke and was left paralysed on her right side. Her personal care consisted of pre-pairing meals, washing, changing her pad, and helping with her mobility which involved a hoist/rotor stand and then sat comfortably into a chair and also helped with personal hygiene. I am also currently working night shifts in a residential care home in Chalfont St Peter but only do a few nights a week so my availability is quite flexible. I will do everything in my ability to make sure your mum/dad or whoever they may be are truly taken care of and are able to feel relaxed with a smile on their face. | My grandmother is blind so throughout my childhood and adulthood I have been used to caring for her and helping her with tasks with patience, kindness and understanding. Planning ways to help her and adjusting days out so it’s suitable and safe for her. A listening ear - sometimes daily tasks can be hard so having a kind, listening ear is just sometimes all that you need to give to make their day better. I love spending time with both of my grandparents and listening to their life stories - it’s always been interesting to me. My career experience: As I haven’t had any professional experience with the elderly…. My career has been a nanny. Caring for all ages of families and children. From newborn to 20 years of age. Helping to support a bereaved family in any way I could. So to combine the two with the love I have for children and the elderly… to support and care for other families is something I am extremely passionate about.
