My grandmother is blind so throughout my childhood and adulthood I have been used to caring for her and helping her with tasks with patience, kindness and understanding. Planning ways to help her and adjusting days out so it’s suitable and safe for her. A listening ear - sometimes daily tasks can be hard so having a kind, listening ear is just sometimes all that you need to give to make their day better. I love spending time with both of my grandparents and listening to their life stories - it’s always been interesting to me. My career experience: As I haven’t had any professional experience with the elderly…. My career has been a nanny. Caring for all ages of families and children. From newborn to 20 years of age. Helping to support a bereaved family in any way I could. So to combine the two with the love I have for children and the elderly… to support and care for other families is something I am extremely passionate about. So if you know of any elderly family members who would appreciate my support, I’d love to help! I’m looking for a Monday, Tuesday and potentially a Friday. OR and Thursday/ Friday.
