I currently work for a Care home as a Care Assistant. My duties and responsibilities include personal care, feeding, being a companion, and other delegated duties. In my time at this job, I have gained more knowledge and experience in looking after the elderly people.
I have also worked as a 1-1 Support worker looking after a blind elderly female in a care home. My duties and responsibilities included assisting the resident with personal care, mobilising around the care home and outside the care home, being a companion, and other delegated duties.
In addition to the above job experiences, I have looked after my terminal ill mother. During this time, I assisted my mother with personal care, feeding, accompanying her on her hospital and doctors appointments, cleaning the house, cooking, etc.
